Gargalo was born in the heart of the Monterrei Valley, Galicia, driven by the vision of Roberto Verino. In the early nineties, Verino decided to restore the prominence of the wine of his land, recovering old vineyards and respecting the unique character of the Monterrei designation of origin.

Since then, the winery has combined tradition and modernity: hand-harvesting, absolute respect for the environment, and a clear commitment to quality.
