About this wine

Gargalo Godello Lías 2024 is a refined expression of Godello from the Monterrei Valley. Made from selected grapes from estate vineyards and old vines on granitic-sandy soils with clay areas, this wine combines Atlantic freshness with structure and depth.

After controlled fermentation at 16°C, the wine remains for six months on its fine lees , which imparts volume, complexity, and a distinctive silky texture. The result is an elegant, balanced, and expressive white wine, notable for both its aromatic profile and its full, persistent finish.

Ideal for those looking for a Godello with personality, body and a subtle aging that enhances the purity of the variety.

Our story

Gargalo was born in the heart of the Monterrei Valley, Galicia, driven by the vision of Roberto Verino. In the early nineties, Verino decided to restore the prominence of the wine of his land, recovering old vineyards and respecting the unique character of the Monterrei designation of origin.

Since then, the winery has combined tradition and modernity: hand-harvesting, absolute respect for the environment, and a clear commitment to quality. Each bottle reflects this dedication to nature, the care of the vineyard, and the passion for creating wines that convey identity, elegance, and authenticity.
