Tasting notes

View

Straw yellow with greenish reflections. Clean and bright.

Nose

Very expressive and elegant. The fruity and floral aromas typical of Godello predominate, with notes of ripe pear and pineapple.

Mouth

Luscious, ample and enveloping. It stands out for its structure and body, with a silky texture and a very persistent retronasal aroma that prolongs the fruity notes.

About this wine

Gargalo Terra Godello 2024 is a more structured and expressive interpretation of Godello from Monterrei. It comes from our own vineyards and a careful selection of old vines planted in granitic-sandy soils with clay, which gives it depth and character.

After controlled fermentation, the wine remains in tanks for six months , allowing the varietal to express itself fully and purely. The result is a full-bodied, highly aromatic white wine with a silky mouthfeel and remarkable persistence.

A Godello designed for those looking for a white wine with presence, volume and a marked fruity profile, without losing freshness or elegance.

Our story

Gargalo was born in the heart of the Monterrei Valley, Galicia, driven by the vision of Roberto Verino. In the early nineties, Verino decided to restore the prominence of the wine of his land, recovering old vineyards and respecting the unique character of the Monterrei designation of origin.

Since then, the winery has combined tradition and modernity: hand-harvesting, absolute respect for the environment, and a clear commitment to quality. Each bottle reflects this dedication to nature, the care of the vineyard, and the passion for creating wines that convey identity, elegance, and authenticity.
